Frequently occurring nasal obstruction can significantly impact a patients’ daily life and can lead to sleeping disorders. Nasal obstruction is usually caused by either swelling of the nasal tissue or an anatomical blockage which results in a narrowing of the nasal cavity and the feeling of the passages being congested.
Some common factors which can contribute to nasal obstruction include:
- Nasal Tissue Swelling
- Chronic Sinusitis
- Deviated Nasal Septum
- Enlarged Adenoids
If medical treatment is not effective and nasal obstruction is due to an anatomical problem, the Radiofrequency (RF) treatment may be recommended.
This technique is the effective way to relieve chronic nasal obstruction due to enlarged turbinates without the pain by using RF energy to reduce the size of nasal turbinates and provides relief from nasal airway obstruction. The RF treatment also minimizes damage to surrounding tissue during the procedure resulting in faster recovery.
